Residential Building at Dawn

Divorce Appraisal

Over two decades of real estate appraisal experience has included appraisal assignments involving matters of divorce and litigation. This type of appraisal service includes completing assignments for divorce, partnership dissolution, family disputes, etc. Our services include credible and reliable valuations of all residential property types.

A major concern in dissolution cases is how to divide partnership assets. It is crucial to obtain an accurate appraisal since real estate is often the largest shared asset. Divorce appraisals require a well-supported, professional appraisal that is defensible in court. Therefore, your primary objective should be to utilize only the best and most qualified appraiser.

In some cases, a historical date of value may be requested to reflect the date of separation, and/or date of initial purchase. Please confirm with your legal representation the type of value(s) that you need: current market value, or market value as of a past date. If you are unsure what is required for your situation, we are happy to speak with your attorney to clarify the type of value(s) that you need.

As an objective third party we are bound by the ethics provision within the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP). This provision requires confidentiality and the utmost discretion to the client.

We are available to provide expert witness testimony for court, and to review and comment on any appraisals presented by opposing parties.

We are always available for a phone conversation at no charge.
